Senior Adult Ministries

S.T.A.R. (Seniors Together After Retirement) is a program for retired persons in the community. The group meets every 4th Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall for a a lively evening of games, music, fellowship and a covered dish meal.

Care and Concern

Our ministers and individual church members make regular visits to members who are no longer able to attend worship. The church also has a ministry to help seniors and handicapped members who minor repairs and odd jobs around their homes. Members provide meals for families just home from the hospital with a new baby, to families of people who are ill and in times of bereavement.

Ministry to the Homebound

The Homebound Committee provides regular visits to the homebound with communion served on a quarterly basis.

Devotion services are offered each 4th Sunday at Castleview and Stephenville Nursing Homes – 3:30 and 4:00 p.m. respectively.

The St. Nicholas program is a Christmas program sponsored by the Homebound Committee and the Children’s Department. The local nursing homes provide the names of residents and their needs. Church members are given the opportunity to select names and send gift items for the nursing home Christmas parties.
