Advent Worship Series: What Do You Fear?

Advent begins not with commands or easy answers, but with an honest question: What do you fear?
In this season of waiting, we acknowledge that fear is part of being human—fear of disappointment, uncertainty, loss, or hope that feels fragile. Rather than ignoring fear or pretending it doesn’t exist, this Advent we gently bring it into God’s presence.

Through the stories of Scripture—from Zechariah’s trembling questions, to John the Baptist’s doubts, to the promises spoken through the prophets—we discover a God who meets us in fearful places with grace, patience, and hope. Again and again, God speaks a word of reassurance: I am doing a new thing.

This Advent, we will explore how naming our fears can deepen our faith, strengthen our courage, and open us to the surprising ways God is already at work among us.

Whether you are full of faith, full of questions, or somewhere in between, you are welcome here.
Join us this Advent as we wait together, worship together, and make room for the God who comes near—bringing light, hope, and new life.
